Call for Nominations - FVMA Board Elections 2025

Dear FVMA Members,

As 2025 draws to a close, it is time for us to elect the directors for the 2026 term. As most of you are aware, our board comprises of up to 12 directors, elected by the members for a term of one year. The directors then elect from among themselves, the president, secretary, treasurer, and other executives. If there are more than 12 valid nominations without any withdrawals, an election will be held during the AGM on 20^th December 2025.

The important dates are given below.

Call for Nominations	7^th November 2025
Last Date for receiving completed nominations	7^th December 2025 6:00 PM PDT
Last date for withdrawal of nominations	9^th December 2025 6:00 PM PDT
Announcement of results	11^th December 2025
Elections (if necessary)	20^th December 2025

Eligibility:

All members in good standing are eligible to become directors. If you are not a member currently, please contact membership@fvmabc.org to become a member. The membership fee is $10 and is valid for 1 year.

Procedure for submitting nominations:

Complete the formal nomination form, signed by both the nominee and the proposer and email to elections@fvmabc.org before the time mentioned above. Nominations can also be handed over in person to the returning officer. Incomplete nomination forms will be rejected.

Procedure for election:

If number of valid nominations are less than 12

If the number of valid nominations received are less than 12, the nominees will be declared elected. The newly elected board will convene and elect the executive, which will be announced at the AGM.

If number of valid nominations are more than 12

If the number of valid nominations received are more than 12 after the withdrawal date, an election will be held during the AGM. All members in good standing are eligible to vote in the election. Each member will have 12 votes, and the 12 candidates who receive the largest number of votes will be elected to the board.
