Fraser Valley Malayalee Association (FVMA) proudly hosted EVE 2025, a grand celebration uniting Easter, Vishu, and Eid, on May 4, 2025, at the Clarke Theatre, Mission, BC. The event was a radiant showcase of interfaith harmony, cultural pride, and the shared values that connect diverse communities.
Distinguished guests — Councillor Jas Gill and Mark Haney, Manager of Arts & Culture, City of Mission — graced the evening, commending FVMA for its continued efforts in fostering multicultural understanding and community engagement within the Fraser Valley. Their presence underscored the City of Mission’s ongoing support for initiatives that celebrate cultural diversity and inclusiveness.
FVMA President Linto Luka addressed the audience with a message of hope, gratitude, and renewal, reminding attendees that while each festival carries its own tradition, they all celebrate the universal virtues of compassion, faith, and togetherness. His remarks captured the very essence of EVE 2025 — a celebration that transcends religion and celebrates humanity itself.
The program featured captivating performances ranging from devotional music and classical dance to youth presentations and interfaith messages. Highlights included a vibrant cultural medley symbolizing unity across faiths and generations.
The event was coordinated by Nivil Thomas, Secretary of FVMA, with the support of the association’s executive team and volunteers, whose dedication ensured an evening of grace, joy, and flawless execution.
EVE 2025 reaffirmed FVMA’s enduring commitment to building bridges — proving once again that when communities come together in celebration, diversity becomes strength and harmony becomes heritage.
